Who is Nancy Bergman?
Nancy started painting art porcelain with lusters in 1976. Along with her mother and sisters, she sold as many as 10,000 ornaments a year (both traditional and luster) in department stores until 1996 in the USA. Today, she travels the world teaching luster, selling porcelain art pieces and her custom blend of lusters, and taking custom orders.
Nancy paints a broad range of subjects -- flowers, people, animals, abstracts -- using Lusters and many different techniques to create a form of mixed media. She’s always trying something new: something thought-provoking, clever, cute, and beautiful.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Nancy studied History of Costume Design, Business, and Art/Design. She's also learned from a number of leading fine artists, as well as her own experience and experiments.
